The county seat of Buncombe County, Asheville is the 11th largest city in North Carolina and the largest city in Westrn North Carolina with a 2010 estimated population of 83,393. Among the many area attractions are the Biltmore Estate, largest private home in the United States, and the Blue Ridge Parkway, which has its headquarters in Asheville.
